Kuni BMW has been waiting, for what seems like an eternity for the all-new 3 Series to roll into our showroom. We still have a few months left, as its set to hit dealers sometime in February of 2012, but we have some details we're hoping will get you as excited as we are to see it when it arrives.
The 2012 3 Series wagons, coupes and convertibles are sporting the look and feel of the latest generation, but BMW plans to unleash a completely redesigned interior and exterior, including high-tech features and an optional hybrid powertrain in their 2012 3 Series sedan. And, don't worry, changes are on the way for other models in the series, but BMW is still keeping those details under lock and key.
What we can tell you about the sixth-generation of the sedan, however, is that it will come standard with a 6.5-inch display screen with iDrive controller; Bluetooth connectivity; USB/iPod connectivity; 8-speed automatic transmission; auto start/stop; and dynamic driving control with ECO PRO Mode and brake energy regeneration. Including destination and handling fees, you can get your hands on a 2012 328i or a 2012 335i for a base price of $35,795 or $43,295, respectively. The hybrid variant isn't expected to hit the market until later in 2012, so be sure to stay tuned with our blog for information on model pricing when it's released.
The 2012 3 Series is set to make its official North American debut at the Detroit Auto Show in January, shortly before it goes on sale in February.
